CHARACTER INFO
Name: Tavros Nitram
Gender: Male
Source: Homestuck
Canon point: Right before the trolls enter in canon
Age: 6 sweeps (13 Earth years)
Colour: #A15000
Chumhandle: adiosToreador
History: I’m pulling Tavros straight from canon, but here's a brief summary. Tavros Nitram is a brown-blooded troll from Alternia. He’s extremely low on the hem spectrum, only above rust-bloods in status. Not much is supplied about Tavros’s early life in canon, but as a young troll he constructed his hive on a shoreline. When he was older(about 5 or 6 sweeps), Tavros began playing FLARP, a live action roleplaying game that could easily turn dangerous. In one game, Vriska Serket crippled Tavros by pushing him off of a cliff near his hive, ending his FLARPing sessions permanently.
Personality: Tavros is basically bad at being a troll. Compared to the troll norm of being violent and cruel, Tavros is docile and generally nice. Compared to humans, he's still pretty much a dick, but he comes across as kind more often than most other trolls would. This also means that he is remarkably less forceful, getting himself pushed around by other, more aggressive trolls( read: Vriska).
As a consequence, he also has a low self-esteem. He's developed an imaginary friend named Rufio to bolster his confidence, but it usually ends up backfiring miserably for him. He's also generally woefully ignorant of his own shortcomings, and even when he is aware of them, tends to overcompensate. (For example, he decided that having a high self-esteem meant that he was never wrong.) Tavros, while nicer than most trolls, still can be an ass, although it's usually when he's trying to be one. He's also pretty terrible at it, getting countertrolled when he attempts to mess with Dave. He also proves to be remarkably bad at reading other people's emotions and intents, which might be part of why he's such a poor excuse for a typical troll.
Abilities & physical limitations: As a low blood, Tavros possesses some mental abilities. In particular, he can commune with animals. He’s been shown in canon to also interact with lusii and with game entities, meaning that he doesn’t have to worry about underlings, and would most likely get his XP from quests almost exclusively.
Since I’m pulling him from after the FLARPing incident, Tavros doesn’t have working legs. He has to use a wheelchair to get around, although this penalty is easily nullified in canon when he alchemizes a flying car.

Notable AU differences from canon, if applicable: N/A
Strife Specibus: Lancekind
Prototyping: His lusus, Tinkerbull
Title: Champion of Vim
In-game abilities: The Champion class’s power is demonstrated through the bravery and heroics of the player. Much like the Page, it involves a lot of growth on the player’s part to use it effectively. At high levels, the Champion is extraordinarily powerful, and can handle all but the toughest enemies with ease, but at low levels, they can be easily defeated if they are timid and unsure.
The Hero of Vim channels energy and confidence. The more enthusiastic and sure of themselves a hero of Vim is, the more power they can wield. Essentially, to fulfill the role of a Hero of Vim, the player must truly become a hero.
Planet: The Land of Ramps and Muck. Upon entry, Tavros is pleased to discover that ramps serve as the primary mode of transportation around the land, but he’s a lot less excited when he realizes that the entire planet is also a swamp. Many ramps end in dead ends or pools of sludge and marsh, and the entire network forms a maze. To progress, players have to map out the extensive ramp system. (Or just fly, but that’s cheating!
The consorts are alligators, and they’re pretty friendly when they’re not trying to eat players. They only do that because they’re awfully hungry! The Denizen, Narcissus, pays the alligators in food when they do his bidding, but he’s been so caught up with himself that the consorts are starving!
